Who is available to speak? Can I show the film without a speaker, or vice versa?

The director of the film, Rob Smat, is available most weeks and weekends. Subjects Thomas Marshall and/or Jahan Sagafi have more limited availability, but plan to attend as many events as possible.

Whether you’d like to screen the film, invite a speaker, or both, please contact us.

What does it cost?

Screening fees and speaking fees can vary, though past non-profits have found a great deal of success when they’re able to obtain donated screening spaces from local theaters, libraries, or auditoriums.

Moreover, conference planners may find that such a unique schedule item can improve their ticket sales, attendee interest, and provide a unique asset in publicizing their program.

Fees for a screening can range from $750 to $2,500 for non-profits and $2,000 to $4,500 for conferences. These fees may be donated by a third party, allowing your group to screen for little to no cost, in addition to charging admission or asking for contributions from attendees.

While travel and lodging costs are requested for Marshall and Sagafi, filmmaker Rob Smat is able to attend most events at little to no additional fee.

Have Other Films done this? What would a collaboration look like?

Plenty of documentaries have found success working with local groups in their release plans, including but not limited to films like AGE OF CHAMPIONS and ACES AND KNAVES.

Rob Smat’s prior film, THE LAST WHISTLE, partnered exclusively with the American Heart Association on no fewer than two events in 2019 and 2020.
